Weekend at Disneyland... holy moly

I really hate that both of my sisters birthdays are within the same month (March).

So I was completely exhausted after taking them to Disneyland all day yesterday and then dropping them off at home (10pm). Exhausting is an understatement.

Disneyland should change their logo from "the happiest place on earth" to "the most crowded place on earth". You don't understand what a challenge it is to take two kids to a place like Disneyland and not lose one of them at one point. As much as I promised myself that I would keep my cool and try my darnest to remember that it was supposed to be a happy, fun day.. I have to say that my patience was tested and my last nerve was worked on.

Aside from the fact that I had a smart-mouthed teenager on my hands, I had to deal with rude parents and THEIR kids. No joke, a lot of these parents are holding the hand of one toddler while carrying one on their backs (or chests) and pushing the third in a stroller. Holy load, how do they survive? The most of my worries though, is having two sisters with two completely different personalities and interests.... and fulfilling them all. Can I get a standing O for living to tell about this experience?

BUT I love these girls. They're the future I fear and it's up to me to make sure they don't grow up to be the ingrates that I'm beginning to see in this world. Them getting to FINALLY engage in the magic of what is Disneyland... was a challenge, but a beautiful thing all the same.

Here are some pictures that don't portray the negative aspects of the whole journey. Enjoy.

here are the little devils at the lego store in downtown disney:

in line for Space Mountain:

(okay girls, let's look sad that we have to wait 45 mins for this damn ride)

in line for Pirates of the Caribbean:

(we won these lil stuffed animals from that arcade game where "The Claw" picks up your prize and drops it -- at the end of the day, Alice won 4, I won 4, and Amanda won 2)

(ok girls, give me your "ooh, this ride is scary" face!)

in Frontierland:

enjoying mid-day overpriced hot dogs:

never riding those fucking teacups again:

dumbo ride:

indiana jones:

one of the many disney stores:

"get your shit and let's call it a day"

I think I'll be taking a break from that place for a while. Maybe try California Adventure for the next couple of months.
