spring break.

spring break would be a lot better if it applied to work too! it's amusing to hear plans for spring break from the younger classmates - i don't even remember if it was something i looked forward to when i was a young student? i think i always had a job that held me back from showing my boobs on a spring break edition of 'girls gone wild' taping in cancun, or anywhere else that girls truly go wild. hello? i haven't even had a vegas experience yet :)

what spring break does offer me, however, is 6 extra hours during the week! it couldn't have come at a better time b/c daylight savings began yesterday which means daylight after work. it's been so depressing coming out of the office only to be confronted by darkness - a reminder that the majority of your day is wasted behind a desk. now i'll have opportunities to walk Emi around the neighborhood after work, how exciting!

speaking of which, it took Emi a while to get adjusted to waking up an hour earlier this morning. she was still sleepy when i let her out her crate - extra stretches and yawns, looking at me like "isn't it a lil early?" i like waking up with her in the morning, we both just sit around for 5 minutes or so just trying to get ready for the day and i'll say things to her like"did you sleep ok last night baby?" or "you're a sleepy head this morning, huh?" - all while hugging her and petting that adorable mug of hers. she's been a true blessing!

we took her to her first english bulldog meetup on Saturday. i know you must be thinking we are crazy parents and borderline obsessive but i couldn't help signing her up! it was a lot of fun watching her interact with the other bullies b/c she's so playfully aggressive with the dogs in our apartment complex. it was funny to see her get bullied around for once! it was a great experience and i can't wait to take her to future (monthly) meet-ups. you can see the pictures here. she made a lot of friends and the advice and insight i received from the other parents was helpful. to keep up with Emi - you can follow her on twitter at http://twitter.com/emithebully :)
