i was robbed of my weekend as i hustled to get my term project done for sociology. i usually try not to procrastinate too much but i'm afraid i underestimated the time i would need to get the work done. nonetheless, i was able to finish yesterday evening with time to spare for much needed down time. i have to admit that i haven't taken this class as seriously as i have my literature class. there are a few reasons for this, 1) the class is quite boring, 2) i've learned most of the content already from previous psychology classes, and 3) the class is pretty straight forward. in fact, i received my first 100% on a scantron (no red marks!) for the midterm in this class. it defintely boosted my confidence but unfortunately it's also made me realize how easy it is to ace the course. maybe it's that kind of thinking that got me in trouble over the weekend but it's okay, i did it. big sigh pf relief.
i'm pretty excited that May is here even though i have to suffer through finals the next couple of weeks. i have a lot going on this month. aside from the fact that spring term is nearing to a close, i have fun weekend activities planned! i've finally decided to attend the OC Beer Festival this year. regretfully, they don't allow dogs so emi's going to have to sit this one out. i also planned an unlimited sunday brunch & bowling event with friends. the internet continues to amaze me as i was able to find a great deal for this ($10/person)! also, i'm a huge MMA fan and two great cards are on the agenda for this month. we usually make a big deal of fight nights and so there are a couple of saturdays this month that will be dedicated to them.
i'm worked up for June too! i'm taking a week off from work before summer school begins in July. i plan on using that week to catch up with friends and get some alone time. i think a spa treatment is in order, heaven knows i need it!

Flowers, trees, their blossoms don;
And Through the blue heavens above us,
The very clouds move on." - Heinrich Heine (Book of Songs)
