gloom doom.

z's been in cold central cali the past few days and after bragging how beautiful and warm the weather was down here, i'm sad that he won't be able to witness it during his return today. i mean, we broke record highs sunday and yesterday! not that i mind the gray glooms but it would have been nice for z to come back to sunshine and to be able to say, "see? told you it was warm down here!"

the drop in temperature is so appropriate for the hell i'm going through with finals this week. did i mention i'm never taking on 3 classes again? i took 1 final yesterday and have been checking the website every other hour to see if grades have been posted, even though posting grades this early on is unlikely and pretty much unrealistic. the suspense is killing me....

i need to take a load off after this week is done. a quiet, celebration dinner with drinks. also attending my first ever "Ugly Sweater Christmas Party" Friday night. i bought mine and z's sweater yesterday at goodwill. mine is hideous - resembling the color of puke accompanied with poorly knitted flowers. i'm seriously grinning at the thought of it. z's isn't too bad.. to be honest, i could see him wearing it in his grandpa years. (okay, i'm really trying hard not to laugh out loud). i'll be sure to post pics, 'til then...
