i gave alice a webcam for christmas and couldn't believe how much they've changed since my day. she showed me some of it's features yesterday and we had a fun photo session. as you can see, we all have the same chubby cheeks and cheesy smiles. i didn't really know what to do so i followed her lead since she's such a pro at it. throughout the day i caught myself staring a little too deeply at her wondering where the 14 year old was. i guess i needed something solid to convince my heart that she is in fact growing up. i don't think i'll ever be able to fully realize it.
(is this what it's like to be a parent? sheesh.)
