embarrassing moments pt. 2

i just remembered this one out of the blue.

where: school bus
when: 5th grade

what happened?

i was sitting across the aisle from my crush and we were talking. i remember saying something funny (or so i thought) and the confused expression on his face made me laugh. well, i also had a cold so when i laughed, a thing of snot shot out my left nostril. i was so stunned and did the only natural thing i could - sniffed it right back up my nose. my crush and his friend stared at my nose in astonishment as if i just conducted a magic trick. finally the friend said, "hey, you had a booger right there." i said, "noididnt." he then turned to my crush and said, "ey carlos, didn't she have a booger right there?" and carlos said, "hell yea she had a booger right there!"

i was so embarrassed that i turned away instantly and faced the window, almost in tears. what really took me over the edge was when my friend sitting next to me leaned over and whispered in my ear, "hey, um.. you did have a booger right there." i swear i was going to punch her.
