hmm..

i saw this thing on the news this morning about a company that goes around to educate the california public about earthquakes. they travel with a living room model and have citizens go in while they shake it at various degrees of intensity. i couldn't help but notice the big screen tv hanging on the wall (most likely a replication) and it reminded me of the last earthquake we experienced a few months ago. my first thought when the earthquake started was to protect our big screen while z went to pick emi up. when the earthquake stopped, i looked at what he was holding onto and what i was holding onto... and it seriously made me question my values.

i hope i'm a little wiser and little less superficial when the next big one hits.
