aging philosophies.

a few evenings ago, z and i talked about aging. i scoffed and said getting old sucked, while he said, "i don't know. i feel like as i'm getting older, i'm becoming a better person.. so in that regard, i don't mind getting old."

that's when i took a step back and took a quick glimpse of my life and realized that i, too, am becoming a better person as i get older. i don't know why it took me until that moment to realize and appreciate the type of person i've become over the years: a step closer to the person i was meant to be. and so, yes, in that regard, i guess i don't mind getting old after all (leave it up to z to offer some perspective).
